About Gravity Machine
Gravity Machine is a little game that I put together based on several sources of inspiration, and feedback from friends. There's no real point to the game. It just provides interesting visuals, and amusing, unexpected rhythms and beats.
It's really simple to use, just start drawing lines for the balls to bounce off of. That's it. The length of the line will determine the pitch of each ball strike. The velocity will determine the volume and it's position on the screen will determine it's the left/right balance. <DEL> will clear the board.
Check the README file for more details and controls.

Version 1.12
2006-05-04Strictly a bugfix release.
Version 1.11
2006-05-03This new version is primarily bugfixes. The ball drop rate should be steady even when stuff lags a bit. Also, changes the scene lighting a bit. Check README for more details.
Version 1.10
2006-04-27Fixed the sound problem that was present in the 1.9 when the scene was rotating. Also added rotational speed controls. Also, little ball generation objects on the top of the screen.
Version 1.9
2006-04-27This version adds some polish around the edges. Message text now fades out gracefully. Added a splash screen on first load, and fixed the spacing of the balls when the game is paused. The key to manually drop a set of balls changed from (ctrl) to 'z', because load and save both use the control key modifier.
Non tonal sounds (like the red beat ball) now have a broader range of sound available. They used to just play lower pitch than the original sample, now they play higher as well. So, to get the deep beat sound, make your platforms longer.
One of the cooler things in this version is the field rotation. When you get a rhythm you like going, hit enter and the field will start spinning. It looks pretty cool. The sound tones change a bit during rotation, but I'll fix that in the next version.
Version 1.8
2006-04-26Can now save and load scenes. Platform position, ball rate and configuration as well as gravity and ball bounciness are all saved. CTRL-S to save CTRL-L to load. Also added a windows installer. If you have any problems with it, lemme know.
Version 1.7
2006-04-25Primarily adds individual controls (start/stop/rate control) for the dropping balls. Please see the README for details.
Version 1.6
2006-04-24Fixed a bug that was causing newly created platforms so spaz out a bit. Added the shift key modifier that will constrain a platform to a specific angle while sizing it. Adjusted the volume modifier to a broader range of volumes are possible, and finally made the balls and platform handles pulse as they make sound.
See the README for more details!
Version 1.5
2006-04-21This is a fairly minor revision with some tweaks to the underlying platform code and increase in size of the platform and platform handles to make them easie to click on. The biggest change is the increase size of the playfield. You now have almost 60% more space to play in! At NO EXTRA CHARGE! enjoy...
Website Launched!
2006-04-21It's pretty basic right now, but it gets the idea across. Will add forums soon, as well as clean up some of the formatting.
